Journeying Into the Unknown

House of Roots has a rich and fascinating backstory, beginning with its origins as the second kava bar to open in Miami and the first in Wynwood. We started out in a small house in Wynwood, long before the neighborhood underwent the gentrification that it is now known for.

At the time, Kava bars were a relatively new concept in Miami, and many people were unfamiliar with the drink and its benefits. Nevertheless, we were committed to introducing this traditional beverage to the community and creating a welcoming space for people to gather and connect.

Over the years, our reputation grew, and our small kava bar became a beloved fixture in the Wynwood neighborhood. We welcomed locals and visitors alike, creating a sense of community and belonging that was truly special.

As the years passed, Wynwood began to change around us. Gentrification swept through the neighborhood, bringing with it a wave of new development and a changing landscape. But despite the changes, House of Roots remained steadfast in our commitment to providing a warm and welcoming space for all.

Embarking on a New Adventure

Despite the success and popularity of House of Roots in Wynwood, circumstances beyond our control led us to seek out a new and larger space. And so, with heavy hearts, we bid farewell to our beloved home and embarked on a new chapter in our journey.

We found a new location in Miami's Buena Vista District and poured our hearts and souls into transforming it into a new home for House of Roots. It wasn't easy, but we persevered, driven by our commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests.

Unfortunately, fate had other plans for us, and we were forced to move again due to a series of unfortunate events. But we refused to be discouraged, and we set our sights on two new locations in Biscayne, Miami and Miami's Little River District.

With two locations now under our belt, House of Roots continues to thrive, thanks in large part to the unwavering support of our loyal customers and the incredible community that we have built over the years. We remain dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming space for all, where people can come together, connect, and enjoy the benefits of kava.
